5. Without His Will, Not Even a Blade of Grass Moves!

Understanding the will of Lord Hari is beyond anyone's capability. As the saying goes, "Without Him, not even a blade of grass moves." Everything happens according to His will. The lineage of the Pandavas and Kauravas, descendants of Bahlikaraja and Emperor Shantanu, exemplifies this truth.

Had King Pratipa's eldest son, Devapi, not been afflicted with leprosy, he would have been the adopted heir to King Pratipa's in-laws and ruled their kingdom. In such a scenario, the second son, Bahlikaraja, would have become the emperor of the Kuru dynasty. Here, we can see the play of destiny. According to Lord Hari's will, Devapi's leprosy prevented him from becoming the heir to his maternal grandfather's kingdom, leading him to renounce the world and retreat to the forest for penance. Consequently, Bahlikaraja was adopted by his maternal grandfather through the 'Putrika Putra Nyaya' (adoption through a daughter's son) and became the ruler of their kingdom.

Had this turn of events not occurred, Bahlikaraja would have become the emperor of the Kuru dynasty, and the lineage leading to the birth of the Kauravas and Pandavas would not have been established. Their mutual enmity, culminating in the Kurukshetra war, which eventually relieved the earth of its burden, would not have taken place. However, since Lord Hari had to incarnate to relieve the earth of its burden, this series of events was destined to happen. Thus, the supreme being orchestrated all these events, showcasing His divine play.

As per Lord Hari's will, everything unfolded as it did, leading to the Kurukshetra war, the earth's relief from its burden, and the establishment of righteous Pandavas as emperors. This facilitated the punishment of the wicked, protection of the virtuous, propagation of divine principles, and welfare of the world. All this was a result of Lord Hari's will, reflecting His divine play.
